De reden staat hierboven vermeld. In het voorbeeld van uw vraag had u te weinig rijen om het indexgebruik de moeite waard te maken. Dus de db-engine koos zijn zogenaamd (en waarschijnlijk) snellere manier om de index op je kleine tafel niet te gebruiken.
