Ik heb ontdekt dat de dingen die SQL Server je geeft om fuzzy matching te doen behoorlijk onhandig zijn. Ik heb echt veel geluk gehad met mijn eigen CLR-functies met behulp van het Levenshtein-afstandsalgoritme en wat weging. Met behulp van dat algoritme heb ik vervolgens een UDF gemaakt met de naam GetSimilarityScore die twee strings nodig heeft en een score tussen 0,0 en 1,0 retourneert. Hoe dichter bij 1.0 de overeenkomst is, hoe beter. Voer vervolgens een zoekopdracht uit met een drempelwaarde van>=0,8 of zo om de meest waarschijnlijke overeenkomsten te krijgen. Zoiets als dit:
