Het blijkt dat de pure,embedded scalaire subselectie is niet zo erg. slechts één waarde opvragen, het is zelfs de snelste . Zoals verwacht is de scalaire functie slecht. Hoe meer velden worden teruggegeven door de TVF, hoe beter de relatieve prestatiewinst.

Het enige zekere antwoord is:De scalaire functie is de slechtste en een multi-line TVF is - meestal - langzamer dan inline. Elke ad-hocbenadering is meestal sneller .

Maar ik kon speciale gevallen instellen voor alle situaties (behalve de scalaire functie), waarbij één benadering de snelste was.

Conclusie:(zoals altijd :-) ) Het hangt ervan af...

Hint:Het beste is om dit tegen een grote database met veel tabellen en kolommen in te laten gaan.
