Bedankt voor het toevoegen van het foutenlogboek, zonder welke het erg moeilijk zou zijn geweest om het probleem te vinden. Mooi werk.

ld: library not found for -lssl
De 2e gcc had hier een melding van:
-L/usr/local/lib -lpq -lssl -lcrypto -o ...
Dat betekent dat het compilatieproces op zoek was naar een bibliotheek (-l ) dat is ssl . Zie gcc-handleiding (https://linux.die.net/man/1/gcc ). Er staat dat -l is om de bibliotheek met de naam bibliotheek te doorzoeken (in ons geval ssl ) bij het linken.
Iets met ssl bibliotheek ontbrak.
Zoeken op Google leidde tot een gemeld probleem:https://github.com/psycopg/psycopg2/issues /492 . Joe Kemp's antwoord (https://github.com/psycopg/psycopg2/issues /492#issuecomment-278481164 ) stelt voor om een omgevingsvariabele als volgt in te stellen:
export LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/opt/openssl/lib"
Andere opties werden hier vermeld:Kan psycopg2 niet installeren met pip in virtualenv op Mac OS X 10.7 .
Het lijkt erop dat uw instelling LDFLAGS het probleem heeft opgelost.
