Om de normale bedrijfsuren op te slaan, moet u een aantal records opslaan met:
- Winkel - INTEGER
- DayOfWeek - INTEGER (0-6)
- OpenTime - TIME
- CloseTime - TIME
Ik neem bijvoorbeeld aan dat elke winkel minder openingstijden heeft tijdens nationale feestdagen of fabriekssluitingen heeft, dus je zou ook enkele override-records moeten opslaan:
- Winkel - INTEGER
- StartDate overschrijven - DATUM
- OverrideEndDate - DATUM
- DayOfWeek - INTEGER (0-6)
- AltOpenTime - TIJD
- AltCloseTime - TIME
- Gesloten - INTEGER (0, 1)
Open winkels vinden is triviaal, maar je moet ook controleren of er tijdelijke openingstijden zijn:

Als er records worden geretourneerd, hebben die winkels alternatieve openingstijden of zijn ze gesloten.
Er is misschien wat leuke SQL-fu die je hier kunt doen, maar dit geeft je de basis.

Wat betreft efficiëntie, het is efficiënt in die zin dat u maar één keer naar MySQL hoeft te bellen, wat vaak een knelpunt is als het via een netwerk is. Je zult moeten testen of dit aan je specificaties voldoet. Zo niet, dan kun je misschien met een aantal indices spelen.
