De oplossing op de pagina is enigszins verouderd, dus ik heb het volgende gedaan:

Om het te gebruiken, hoef je alleen maar:timestamp = UnixTimestampField(auto_created=True)
In MySQL moet de kolom verschijnen als:'timestamp' timestamp NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP ON UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,
Enige nadeel hiervan is dat het alleen werkt op MySQL-databases. Maar je kunt het gemakkelijk voor anderen aanpassen.
